Job Title: Service HVAC Technician Department: Service FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Service Manager Salary: Commensurate with experience + Benefits JOB SUMMARY: The candidate will be responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance, repair and/or replacement of mechanical equipment, piping and/or components. The primary responsibilities of the technician are the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC/Mechanical/Refrigerant systems, startup and functional testing, customer service/ client relations, and adherence to company safety procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Inspect and perform equipment repairs and replacements. Perform routine preventive maintenance. Respond to emergency maintenance/service requests. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Communicate with customers and facility owners in a highly professional manner. Build a positive relationship with customers. Maintain installation protocols and procedures. Diagnoses and testing of HVAC electrical systems. Accurately collect and document HVAC system data (if applicable). Work independently to meet company production requirements. Produce timely and detailed service reports. Position requires occasional nightly, weekend hours and standby hours. Bring optimization to work every day. Always be in control of your destiny. Never stop learning. Confidentiality is essential. JOB REQUIREMENTS: For consideration, candidates must have 5 to 7 years of previous experience in large commercial HVAC, refrigeration or other related fields. For consideration, candidates must be able to successfully complete the Human Resources onboarding process and pass the Safety Orientation training without the assistance of an interpreter. This includes fully understanding the content delivered by the instructor and passing the associated exams independently. Employee must also be able to receive and understand instructions provided by their supervisor and communicate directly with them without the need for interpretation services. For safety, operational efficiency, and compliance reasons, the ability to understand, communicate, and follow workplace safety instructions in English is required.
