POSITION SYNOPSIS AND PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Nurse Supervisor is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of the residents. Prepares and administers medications as ordered and according to the Standards of Nursing Practice as set by the College of Nurses. Responsible for and administers Controlled Drugs and Narcotics used in the Home. Consults physicians and external resources as needed in his/her professional judgement. Supervises, trains and delegates duties to the Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) and Personal Support Workers (PSWs). Maintains the smooth operation of each resident home area as designated by assignment and shift. Promotes the mission, vision and values of Valleyview Home.
