CAFE EVENING CHEF

We are a well established daytime cafe serving quality all day breakfast, toasted sandwiches and more.
We are expanding our opening times into the evening and require a full time chef / cook to come and join our team.
The role in the beginning will be to work our evenings shifts whilst we get our burger offer up and running, however ideally you will have previous breakfast experience in a fast paced environment and be confident preparing our cold lunch offer and grilling sandwiches etc
This role would suit someone who is tired of working long shifts, evenings and unsociable hours and wants to take a step down into a nicer, daytime environment. Or, a younger chef willing to learn and gain more experience in the kitchen.
We will be open Monday to Sunday 09.00 - 21.00
shifts to begin with will be Monday to Thursday 15.00 - 21.30 and Sunday 11.00 - 21.30
(either working the opening or the closing shift on a rota basis)
30 – 40 hours per week
6 – 8 hour shifts
5 days over 7 inclusive of weekends
£13.50 Per hour (starting rate)
Free meals on shift
28 days holiday
Monthly pay on the 28th of each month
Starting rate is £13.00 per hour, this will be assessed on regular intervals and can be increased based on employee and business performance.
We are looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm, can work well with other colleagues, willing to roll their sleeves up and work hard during busy spells, but also organised and forward thinking in cleaning and preparation to ensure the busy periods are well prepared for and easier to manage.
