JOB DESCRIPTION: HEAD CHEF

The Dreaming is an innovating and inspiring, wellness retreat that is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Nant Caethon Valley, Mid Wales. It is a place to rest, restore, be playful & connect with nature. We have recently had the privilege of welcoming our very first guests, to explore and absorb the magic of The Dreaming.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Chef/Catering assistant
  • £13.00 per hour
  • 7 hours cover, weekly on a Tuesday: 2pm - 9pm and occasional weekend.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have at least 2 years culinary experience running a kitchen
  • Must hold up to date Food Hygiene certificate and be familiar with current health and safety regulations.
  • Must be able to commute to and from place of work.
  • Retreat experience ideal but not necessary.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Chef: 2 years (preferred)

ACCOUNTABLE TO: HEAD CHEF

Working closely with: CEO, Master Horticulturalist, General Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and deliver high quality meals and refreshments to our guests
  • Monitor and adapt the menu for allergies/needs of our guests
  • Create a preparation list for culinary team
  • Liaise with Head Chef to maintain food costing and inventory
  • Maintain high standards of food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance
  • Ensure thorough compliance with health codes and regulation
