VALUES: Accessibility, Integrity, Achievement, Supportive Environment Position Overview: The Staff Chaplain at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy provides compassionate spiritual care and emotional support to hospice patients, families, and caregivers as well as contracted facilities, their staff, and the community, while managing an active patient caseload. The Staff Chaplain offers individualized spiritual assessments and interventions that address end-of-life, grief, and bereavement, with sensitivity to diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Additionally, the Chaplain contributes to community crisis intervention and provides debriefings and support sessions for staff and community members. This position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care, while upholding the mission and values of Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Requirements Minimum Qualifications: 1. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in divinity, theology, psychology, or a related discipline from an accredited school of higher education. 2. Demonstrated commitment to obtaining board certification as a chaplain, with progress reviewed annually. 3. Ability to manage a patient caseload and work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. 4. Completion of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) training or must be obtained within twenty-four (24) months of hire date. 5. Competency in Electronic Documentation. 6. Available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the on-call rotation. 7. Valid driver’s license and insured under Washington State vehicle insurance requirements, as driving is an essential function of this position. 8. Reliable transportation and the ability to independently travel within Tri-Cities Chaplaincy’s service area to deliver patient and family care in homes, facilities, and community settings. 9. This position is designated as safety-sensitive and will require pre-employment drug testing, which includes cannabis testing in WA State. 10. Ability to report to assigned work location(s) as scheduled and maintain consistent, reliable attendance. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Ecclesiastical Endorsement. 2. One (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from a training site accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). 3.
