YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS:

• Basic understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of water and wastewater engineering design.
• Familiarity of project and construction management, design coordination.
• Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
• Highly organized and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Understanding of process, mechanical, or hydraulic engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
• Ability to interpret sketches, engineering drawings, and other similar material.
• Basic experience in Microsoft Office, as well as relevant discipline software programs, which may include hydraulic, process, and chemical modelling software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical, Mechanical, Process, or Civil Engineering.
• Registration as an Engineer-in-Training or P.Eng. is considered an asset.
• 0-6 years of experience.
• Co-op/Internship experience is considered an asset.

Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

• Perform field work related to site investigations in support of design work and may include pilot and/or construction related activities.
• Meet with clients, regulators and officials, public, and contractors to review project needs and coordinate field conditions.
• Assists in supporting the project through construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.
• Use knowledge of general concepts of relevant water and wastewater engineering elements including process engineering design, technology selection, and development of design calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Be an effective communicator and work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of technicians and engineers.
• Support our technical and project management teams on local projects.
• Deliver individual project tasks following project schedule and budget.
