ABOUT MLCAN

MLCAN is a Calgary-based deep-tech startup revolutionizing oil and gas measurement systems. Our flagship product is an AI-powered smart flow meter designed for accurate, real-time multiphase flow measurement at the wellhead. We are currently preparing for field pilot testing and scaling our technology for commercialization.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented junior engineer or recent graduate to join our growing team. The successful candidate will contribute to oil and gas system analysis and simulation, fluid behavior modeling, and the integration of machine learning approaches for performance enhancement.

SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with process simulation tools and principles commonly used in the energy sector
  • Strong understanding of multiphase flow dynamics and fluid characterization
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience or coursework in machine learning or data science (Python preferred)
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

  • Assist in multi-phase flow analysis for oil and gas production systems
