Geotechnical Engineer
Where will you work: - Esterhazy K3, Saskatchewan, Canada
About the role
The main responsibilities of the mine engineer are providing production and development mine planning services to operations thru daily interactions and by participating in scheduled meetings. Act as a subject matter expert in mining activities in order to provide value to operations.

What will you do?

• Deliver upon short term and long term mine plans.
• Research, development and project delivery to ensure operations efficiency.
• Partnering and supporting capital projects related to sustaining the life of the mine.
• Participate in safety and continuous improvement programs. Ensure compliance with all safety and mine regulations, company policy and regulations.
• Provide engineering and miscellaneous support to management, supervisors, crews and contractors. Including report writing and documentation.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree required, major in Engineering
• 0 to 7 years of industry experience are encouraged to apply
• Underground experience would be an asset, a general knowledge of electrical and mechanical workings would be a benefit as day-to-day work involves facets of each.
• Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD
• Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers
• Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees.
• In this position there is a large amount of work that is passed down. Being able to organize and do jobs in order of importance in a key part of the job.
