Your Role:

• Collaborate with project leads and team leads to gather tasks and prepare functional/design specifications.
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned areas with high-quality standards.
• Provide accurate task estimations and contribute to project planning.
• Evaluate and improve existing data systems for performance and consistency.
• Develop and enforce best practices for data coding and modeling.
• Optimize local and metadata models for efficiency and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and enhance data systems to resolve discrepancies and improve performance.
• Translate business drivers and analytical use cases into scalable data products.
• Design, implement, and maintain reliable data pipelines using cloud technologies.
• Identify and mitigate risks within your area of responsibility (AOR).
• Report on readiness and quality; escalate issues when necessary.
• Lead crisis resolution efforts within your AOR.
• Conduct code reviews and establish coding standards and guidelines.
• Propose technical and functional enhancements to improve product value.
• Continuously enhance your technical expertise and stay updated with industry trends.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Your skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong Java programming skills (5+ years).
• Proven experience with Thrift and RPC services.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems.
• Familiarity with GitHub and version control best practices.
• Strong object-oriented programming (OOP) skills.
• Passion for simplifying complex systems and improving processes.
• Results-driven and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Good to have:

• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes (K8s).
