ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Salesforce Release Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the release lifecycle for Salesforce applications within a telecom environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployments, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and enforce governance standards across development, staging, and production environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own and manage the end-to-end Salesforce release process, including sandbox management, version control, and deployment strategies.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Copado, or Gearset.
Coordinate with development, QA, and business teams to schedule and execute releases with minimal disruption.
Implement and enforce release governance, including change control, rollback strategies, and audit compliance.
Troubleshoot deployment issues and provide root cause analysis and resolution.
Maintain documentation for release processes, deployment guides, and environment configurations.
Monitor Salesforce platform updates and assess their impact on existing deployments.
Support integration of Salesforce with telecom-specific systems (e.g., billing, provisioning, CRM).
