Ledcor is seeking Forepersons to oversee daily field operations for the Firewater Replacement Project, ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with project schedules, and quality standards. The successful candidate may come from either a Pipefitter or Equipment Operator background and have experience planning and supervising work involving trench boxes and protected excavations. This position is located in Fort McMurray, AB. Essential Responsibilities: Work with the project manager and superintendent to coordinate excavation, trenching, pipe installation, backfilling, and restoration activities Lead and supervise a crew of pipefitters, heavy equipment operators and labourers Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing impacts to schedule and budget Read and interpret construction drawings, grade stakes, and survey information Conduct daily toolbox meetings, ensuring crews understand work plans and hazards Assist with training, mentoring, and performance management of crew members Monitor project schedules to ensure work is completed within regular hours and meets deadlines Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality Requirements: 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership position Must have experience with trench boxes, trench shoring, and excavation safety practices Must have rigging experience Must have experience working around confined space Previous experience working in a plant, industrial construction/maintenance, facility pipeline or pipeline maintenance is required Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to direct crews and resolve on‑site issues Strong working knowledge of civil construction activities Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
