SYSTRA International Bridge Technologies (IBT) is an engineering firm solely dedicated to bridge engineering. We offer specialized engineering services in all facets of bridge design, construction, and maintenance.
Our niche bridge types include steel-concrete composite and all concrete cable-stayed structures, extradosed structures, and segmental concrete bridges. We are a world leader in metro and high-speed rail elevated guideway design. We emphasize the importance of producing bridges tailor-designed for their site that are constructible and economical without sacrificing elegance. QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering or equivalent.
Years of experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a field review engineer on infrastructure construction projects.
Professional engineer license: Registered or eligible to register with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.

• Outstanding attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, within tight deadlines and schedules.
• Willingness and availability to work on site and travel locally as needed.

Remuneration: The expected salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 per year, plus reimbursement of position related expenses. The exact salary will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, qualifications, certifications, competencies and other relevant criteria.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Field Review Engineer for SYSTRA IBT, you will be assigned to a precast concrete fabrication facility to conduct field reviews and evaluate compliance with design documentation and construction quality procedures, supporting the Lead Field Review Engineer.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform field reviews and visits at construction sites.
• Coordinate with designers to provide engineering support during construction for the implementation and inspection of the work including QA/QC documentation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of field reviews and observations.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, architects, and other construction specialists.
• Bring site and design issues to the attention of the Lead Field Review Engineer and the design team.
• Monitor compliance of construction activities with design documentation.
• Assist in the review of construction quality records, shop drawings, and other construction documents.
• Other related tasks.
