ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Stone Pacific is seeking a full-time Civil Construction Estimator. Based in Duncan, BC, this role offers the exciting opportunity to live and work in the beautiful Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island.
In this role, you will report to the Senior Estimator/Project Manager, and be accountable for preparing accurate civil construction estimates, reviewing tender documents, and contributing to successful project bids and kick-offs.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates based on project specifications, drawings, and site conditions
  • Utilizing B2W and Bluebeam estimating software to develop accurate estimates
  • Reviewing tender documents, drawings, and contracts with attention to detail
  • Preparing and submitting proposals that align with project requirements
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Collaborating with management and fellow estimators on project reviews
  • Participating in project kick-offs/meetings and supporting Project Managers post-award
  • Actively identifying and pursuing public and private bid opportunities
  • Analyzing unit costs, labor rates, and productivity factors to ensure competitiveness
  • Maintaining industry knowledge and applying best practices in civil estimating
