What you will do The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking an individual to join the Fredericton District as Operations Worker II, working in the Construction Branch. As an Operations Worker II, you will work under the direction of the Senior Resident Engineer and be responsible for: * weighing and checking materials; verifying and recording contents on ticket; * assisting technicians in setting up instruments and targets; * marking benchmarks, shoulder pickets, shoulder offset, right of ways, back of ditch stakes, grades and operating measuring lines; * ensuring truck is properly equipped with supplies and equipment; * ensuring tools are clean and in good operating order. Work environment: * Work location: Fredericton. * 40-hour work week, with variable hours, including, evenings and weekends, when required. * Working on job sites in all weather conditions, exposure to dust and fumes. * Ability to lift and carry survey equipment and walking over uneven or sloping terrain. * Some travel within the region will be required. * We promote a scent-reduced environment.
