JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer/Picker, and Driver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality control, efficiency, and safety within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Duties Picker/Packer & Driver (Full-Time) — Burnside, Dartmouth, NS

What you’ll do

• Pick & pack customer orders accurately; stage, wrap, and label pallets/cases
• Load/unload the company van/truck and complete safe deliveries/pickups (local routes)
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe (sweeping, recycling, waste, snow/ice around doors when needed)
• Assist with inventory management: counts/cycle counts, receiving, put-away, rotating stock (FIFO)
• Help the admin team with basic paperwork, packing slips, BOLs, and simple portal tasks
• Use basic apps/handhelds to record picks, PODs, and delivery notes; report issues promptly

What you bring

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (clean abstract) and confident city driving/parking skills
• Able to lift 50 lb / 23 kg and work on your feet; safe use of pallet jacks/dollies (forklift ticket is an asset)
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive, customer-first attitude
• Team player who jumps in wherever needed and communicates clearly
• Legally eligible to work in Canada

Nice to have (assets)

• Forklift certification or are you willing to get certification? (very short commitment)
• Experience in distribution/warehouse or delivery work- ideally
• Familiarity with retailer portals/EDI (e.g., BOLs, labels)

Schedule & location

• Full-time, on-site at our Burnside (Dartmouth) warehouse (Monday–Friday; occasional flex for peak periods)

• Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes, to move products safely.
• Perform order picking tasks to gather items for shipment efficiently.
• Load and unload products from delivery trucks and containers.
• Maintain an organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
• Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage orders effectively.
• Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in warehouse distribution or management is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
• Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping & receiving procedures.
• Experience using a warehouse management system is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
