This role may also be based out of one of our Southeast Service Center locations. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the continuous improvement of safety practices across the organization by updating and maintaining safety policies and planning safety training and compliance programs. Required Skills & Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Review and update safety policies and procedures as needed to ensure compliance and effectiveness Purposefully monitor, correct and educate the workforce on issues relating to workplace health and safety Monitor, collect and organize safety records for all service center locations Work closely with management to develop site specific or service specific training procedures and ensure training of applicable employees is completed to maintain compliance and best practice standards Plan and coordinate monthly safety training sessions with input and direction from management Assist in conducting root cause investigations for safety incidents and recommend corrective actions Keep detailed records of safety-related incidents and propose appropriate corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence Work with insurance carriers to process vehicle accident claims.
