3. JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in project management, agile working and monitoring performance and impact
• Practical knowledge of digital platforms and systems for business operations and workflow management
• A team player, with an ability to act on own initiative and drive systemic processes
• Good communication skills, thorough command of the English language (Dutch is an advantage)
• Confidence with presentation of information for (non-technical) audiences
• Experience of working in international settings, involving people from different countries and cultural backgrounds
• Understanding of the (European) non-profit nature conservation sector
• Willingness to travel across Europe to meet members and partners and represent Eurosite.

• To streamline project management. This involves standardising our approach to planning and budgeting, structuring tasks and roles, realisation of activities, monitoring and control, communication, reporting and evaluation. This also includes establishing agile workflows and defining performance indicators. An important task is to develop internal procedures and adapt them to the size of our organisation.
• To improve the structure and deployment of IT resources and supporting software. For its projects, working groups, members, and customer relations, Eurosite uses various IT-based communication and collaboration platforms. We want to evaluate their current use and deploy IT tools in a more structured way. The implementation of AFAS as project management and financial administration software solution, which is currently taking place in the Secretariat, is an important first step to improve efficiency and reduce associated workloads.
• To contribute to international nature and climate projects. Eurosite is funded through third-party project grants. The Operations Lead, like the entire team at the Secretariat, will contribute to project activities and events and be in contact with members and partners. The work is generally diverse in nature.
