JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Debt Consultant to help clients manage and resolve their financial debt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing clients’ financial situations, offering advice, negotiating with creditors, and helping clients develop practical plans for repayment. The goal is to provide personalized solutions that promote financial health and sustainable debt reduction.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in financial consulting, debt management, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of debt consolidation, bankruptcy laws, credit counseling, and financial products.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to explain complex financial concepts in an understandable way.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple clients and cases simultaneously.
• Knowledge of financial software and tools used in debt management.
• Certifications:
• Certification in debt counseling or financial planning (e.g., Debt Management Specialist certification) is a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working with clients in financial distress, particularly in consumer debt management.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and legal requirements for debt counseling and financial advising.

• Client Assessment:
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ financial situations by reviewing income, expenses, and existing debt obligations.
• Identify key areas of concern and develop an understanding of the client’s financial goals and challenges.
• Debt Management Planning:
• Create customized debt management plans that prioritize financial recovery and debt reduction strategies.
• Offer guidance on budgeting, saving, and improving credit scores.
• Creditor Negotiation:
• Act as an intermediary between clients and creditors to negotiate favorable terms, including interest rate reductions, payment plans, and possible debt settlements.
• Financial Counseling:
• Provide expert financial advice on personal finance, including managing credit, loans, and budgeting.
• Educate clients on debt management tools and services that can assist in achieving financial stability.
• Follow-up & Monitoring:
• Continuously track clients’ progress with debt reduction and provide support or modifications to the repayment plans if needed.
• Schedule regular follow-ups to monitor the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
• Recordkeeping & Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of client communications, agreements, and financial plans.
• Ensure all client interactions are documented and compliant with legal regulations.
