DATA SCIENTIST – AI/GEOINT INNOVATION

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support GEOINT automation and AI development at NGA Headquarters in Washington, DC. This role blends mission-focused automation with cutting-edge AI/ML tool development, supporting innovation efforts within NGA Source.
The ideal candidate will have experience in geospatial analytics, automation frameworks, and building AI/ML models for real-world operational use.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active TS/SCI clearance (CI polygraph preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Proficiency in Python and experience with JEMA
• Strong understanding of GEOINT data, automation, and tasking systems
• On-site availability with limited telework flexibility
• Strong verbal, written, and technical presentation skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with AI/ML applications (e.g., computer vision, NLP)
• Familiarity with geospatial tools such as ArcPro, Brewlytics, or similar
• Knowledge of NGA/NRO systems and operational collection architecture
• Experience with R, SQL, JavaScript, or HTML
• Experience supporting prototyping or innovation teams

• Develop and deploy AI tools to enhance GEOINT workflows
• Automate GEOINT collection using Python and JEMA
• Collaborate with analysts and developers to prototype innovative solutions
• Work with distributed teams in Tampa and St. Louis to integrate shared capabilities
• Translate mission needs into scalable, tech-driven solutions
