You will execute against an existing backlog, improve system reliability and observability, support telemetry and run management, and enhance the developer experience for reviewing AI-generated merge requests using Python. This is a three-month project engagement. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Provide hands-on engineering support for an internal audit and code-modification platform; - Execute against an existing backlog and deliver tactical platform improvements; - Improve system reliability, observability, and operational visibility; - Support telemetry, logging, debugging, and run management processes; - Enhance the developer experience for reviewing AI-generated merge requests using Python; - Support system maintenance, operational improvements, and GitLab CI/CD pipeline execution; - Work with LLM-powered and agentic workflows, ensuring reliability and usability; - Support internal engineering teams and platform users; - Improve the reliability, visibility, and usability of the current platform; - Contribute to code review workflows, automated remediation processes, and platform enhancements. MUST HAVES - 5+ years of experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, merge request workflows, and pipeline debugging; - Senior-level backend or platform engineering experience, ideally with Python; - Experience working with LLM, prompt-driven, or agentic workflows, including input/output validation and deterministic execution patterns; - Strong understanding of observability, including logging, telemetry, debugging, run tracking, and operational visibility; - Experience supporting internal developer tools or platforms used by multiple engineering teams; - Ability to execute tactical improvements independently without requiring extensive direction or re-architecture; - Comfortable reviewing and improving generated code changes, codemods, and automated merge requests; - Strong communication skills for supporting internal engineering customers and translating use cases into implementation work; - Upper-intermediate English level.
