The Database team is responsible for maintaining a production SLA of 99.99%. This role will support monitoring and timely response to any alerts relating to databases in the production environment to achieve this SLA goal. What you’ll do: -Lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS and other public cloud platforms. -Plan and implement AWS RDS Aurora PostgreSQL/MySQL installations, upgrades, and migrations - Perform core database administration activities such as database creation, performance tuning, monitoring, backups/restore/recovery, and database cloning - Troubleshoot and assist in AWS RDS Aurora related issues, including creating SRs and working with AWS support - Perform system administration tasks as required to assist the team - Provide rotational on-call support during weekends/holidays - Collaborate with Cloud teams to implement productivity-improving solutions - Evaluate new technologies and coordinate implementation to improve team output - Maintain documentation on the wiki.
