JOB DESCRIPTION

Ascension Christian School is seeking a talented and experienced Digital Media specialist to manage and maintain social media, design, promotions, and website. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital design principles, graphic design, and content management systems (CMS). This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

QUALIFICATIONS:



    • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or related field.

    • Proven experience in digital media design and development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
    • Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
    • Strong understanding of SEO principles and website analytics tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

      • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

      Responsibilities
      • Digital Design and Development:
      • Design and develop visually appealing and user-friendly digital and print media that align with the school’s branding and mission.
      • Create and maintain a consistent design structure and social media presence to ensure easy accessibility.
      • Optimize digital media presence.
      • Ensure media compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).
      • Content Management:
      • Create, edit, and update digital content, including text, images, and multimedia.
      • Manage and organize all media content in a clear and logical manner.
      • Work closely with school staff to gather and incorporate relevant content.
      • Technical Maintenance:
      • Monitor and maintain social media performance and website security and backups.
      • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the website.
      • Stay up-to-date with the latest software and media technologies and trends.
      • Graphic Design:
      • Create visually appealing graphics, banners, and other digital assets for media.
      • Design and develop digital marketing materials.
      • SEO and Analytics:
      • Implement SEO strategies to improve website visibility in search engine results.
      • Utilize website analytics tools to track website performance and user behavior.
      • Make data-driven decisions to optimize website content and user experience.
