ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an Engineering Leader in the Connect framework and platform team in the Connect Engineering organization, you will be working closely with senior engineers on the team and with other key stakeholders across the engineering organization to design, architect and evolve our Connect platform and framework to scale our business to 10x and beyond. You are not confined to the status quo and you leverage your expertise in large-scale distributed systems and big data to help take our platform to the next level. You worry about key operational aspects (availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, emergency response, capacity planning, disaster recovery) of our infrastructure, and you make sure that we have a highly-available, resilient and secure offering that some of the world’s largest businesses can rely on. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• You will work with a team of engineers and architects to help evolve the Kafka connect framework and platform
• Work with engineering teams and product on critical aspects of product definition, architectural design, and delivery
• Work closely with product management, engineering leadership, and other key stakeholders across various teams in Confluent and Confluent Cloud to build and drive the overall roadmap
• Influence the overall domain health and operational hygiene for the Cloud Platform
