About the Role:
We are currently seeking a motivated Licensed Journey Electrician – 309A to join our expanding team.
Brief duties and responsibilities:
1. Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
2. Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
3. Install, replace, and repair electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
4. Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
5. Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement, or repair.
6. Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.
7. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
8. Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations,
9. Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.
10. Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices, heating and cooling systems.
11. Apply knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant safety regulations.
12. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including keeping tools and equipment organized and properly maintained.
13. Observe and follow safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
14. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, both verbally and in writing.
15. Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
16. Train and oversee subordinate staff.
General requirements:
* Must have a 309A licence.
* Must have a good understanding of English.
* A valid driver’s licence is an asset.
