This position plays a key role in supporting the Pharmacy Team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Ensures proper dispensing of medications to the right patient, dose, and route of administration Performs drug utilization reviews on all medications dispensed Provides patient care services to enhance patient experience including but not limited to immunizations, patient consultations, medication therapy management, and resolving patient conflicts Ensures a safe and clean working environment Oversees pharmacy interns, technicians, production clerks, and other individuals involved in the daily operation of the pharmacy Assists in managing inventory including controlled substances, storage, record keeping, and handling of recalled and expired medications Adheres to applicable state and federal pharmacy practice rules, regulations, and procedures Performs other administrative tasks when needed Other duties necessary to improve patient care and increase efficiency Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy (Required) Licensure/Certification: Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (Required) Active immunization and CPR certifications (Preferred) Experience: 4-9 years of experience in a pharmacy setting (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and workflows Willingness to obtain additional licensure and certifications as required Strong clinical judgment and knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Ability to collaborate across teams and provide guidance to pharmacy staff High attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to patient safety Passion for helping patients and improving healthcare outcomes Work Environment Location: On-site, Hybrid, or Remote Schedule: Availability to work weekends and holidays (rotations) Typically works in a closed-door pharmacy setting May require working evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on operational needs.
