• Define and deliver Flagstone’s engineering strategy, working closely with the CTO to shape our longer term technology vision.
• Lead and support the Engineering Management team, creating a culture of openness, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product and Principal Engineers to deliver against the roadmap, ensuring teams are enabled and unblocked.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment on engineering strategy, roadmap priorities, and resourcing.
• Oversee engineering organisational design, resourcing, and capability planning in line with growth and budget.
• Embed effective practices across delivery, QA, risk, and compliance, ensuring governance is integrated into how we work.
• Partner with our People Team on recruitment, succession planning, career development and mobility to build a sustainable pipeline of talent.
• Represent Flagstone within the wider technology community, supporting early careers initiatives and promoting an inclusive engineering culture.
• Have the opportunity to step into the Senior Leadership Team within your first year, contributing to the day-to-day running and strategic direction of the business.
