JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Civil Engineering Draughtsman to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project claims, preparing engineering drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, coordination skills, and proficiency in drafting and GIS software.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geomatics, or related field.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in claims management and/or drafting works.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with LTA, SPPG, and MEA submission requirements is a must.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to review contracts and technical drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Prepare and submit work verification and payment claims to clients.
• Liaise with project engineers, coordinators, and supervisors to gather documentation for claims processing.
• Manage the full cycle of claim resolution and follow-up until full payment is received.
• Review contract terms for compliance and identify potential risks.
• Communicate with subcontractors to review and verify their claims and invoices.
• Prepare underground pipe-laying and cable-laying survey drawings using ArcGIS and submit to MEA.
• Verify accuracy and consistency of survey data provided by surveyors.
• Prepare layout drawings with Google Maps data using AutoCAD , including SPPG Cable/Gas requirements.
• Draft Traffic Control Plans (TCP) in compliance with LTA standards .
• Prepare Gas Transmission Pipeline cross-section drawings and other submission documents.
• Assign drafting tasks, check drawings for accuracy, and monitor approval status.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely approvals and submissions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager and Management Team.
