JOB DESCRIPTION:

Market Expansion: Lead efforts to integrate an eastern Canada Partners Program to enter new markets areas. Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of the core sustainable energy markets and how to position CBE’s suite of products to best help clients achieve their goals. Participate in Business Development meetings, presenting market data and opportunities for “Go/No Go” decisions. Position CBE to be the developer of choice by gathering information about upcoming opportunities from prospective clients and building a robust pipeline of opportunities to fit the strategic plan.
Client Engagement: Building and nurturing long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, architects, engineers, and government agencies. Develop a network of contacts and key customer relationships within the assigned region and market segments. Prospects for new clients, leveraging web-based services, government publications, news articles, networking at industry events, cold calling, etc.
Strategic Partnerships: Identify and negotiate partnerships that enhance service offerings and create mutual value. Develop key account strategies that support the achievement of the strategic business plan. Formulate and review “Win” strategies with operations to improve success rate, profitability, and market position.
Revenue Growth: Develop and execute business strategies that drive profitability and align with corporate goals.
Team Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, and operations to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction. Work closely with communities and industry contacts to convert prospects into opportunities by facilitating the completion and submitting pre-qualifications, commercial concept and project feasibility.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field in finance business management or engineering is required.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in the renewable industry, with a focus in forestry, energy and/or the agricultural industry.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Business Development.
  • Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision-makers at companies and organizations.
  • Proven experience with the project analysis and preconstruction process.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships will key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment to achieve a desired outcome.
  • Uphold a well-known personal brand with private and public clients, local consultants, and a respected reputation in the renewable energy industry.
  • Available to organize and engage in industry events that may be scheduled beyond typical working hours.
  • Proactive at maintaining relationships with potential future clients.
  • Possess a strong network of local clients and consultants, complemented by ongoing participation in industry committees and professional associations.
  • Fluent in both official languages (French/English) is mandatory and functional German is considered a strong asset.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPÉTENCES :

  • Un diplôme d’études post-secondaires ou un diplôme dans un domaine connexe en finance, en gestion d’entreprise ou en ingénierie est requis.
  • Plus de 3 ans d’expérience de travail dans le secteur des énergies renouvelables, avec une spécialisation dans les secteurs de la foresterie, de l’énergie et/ou de l’agriculture.
  • Plus de 5 ans d’expérience en développement des affaires.
  • Capacité avérée à établir des relations profitables avec les décideurs d’entreprises et d’organisations.
  • Expérience avérée dans l’analyse de projet et le processus de pré-construction.
  • Capacité à établir et à entretenir des relations solides avec les principales parties prenantes.
  • Compétences exceptionnelles en leadership avec la capacité de travailler dans un environnement d’équipe collaborative pour atteindre les résultats souhaités.
  • Maintenir une marque personnelle reconnue auprès des clients privés et publics, des consultants locaux et développer une réputation respectée dans le secteur des énergies renouvelables.
  • Disponible pour organiser et participer à des événements de l’industrie qui peuvent être programmés en dehors des heures de travail habituelles.
  • Proactif dans le maintien des relations avec les futurs clients potentiels.
  • Disposer d’un solide réseau de clients et de consultants locaux, complété par une participation continue aux comités de l’industrie et aux associations professionnelles.
