Job Title: Finance Manager - Hospitality
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a strong background in the hospitality industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost control, budgeting, financial reporting, variance analysis, recipe costing, data entry, invoicing, and payroll management. A deep understanding of how both back-of-house (BOH) and front-of-house (FOH) operations impact bottom-line performance is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- financial planning and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Implement and manage cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency.
- Conduct financial reporting and variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain accurate recipe costing to support menu pricing strategies.
- Manage data entry and ensure accuracy in invoicing processes.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for staff.
- Collaborate with operational teams to analyze the financial impact of BOH and FOH activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, including the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI).
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
*Qualifications: *
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance management within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in variance analysis, recipe costing, data entry, invoicing, and payroll management.
- Experience with USALI and familiarity with hospitality accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
