Are you a Specialty Doctor looking to facilitate mental health recovery in the community for people over the age of 65 and those under the age of 65 with a diagnosis of dementia?
You will provide specialist and holistic assessment, treatment and continuing care for older adults who suffer from a range of mental health problems including dementia.
Please note: This role will require you to travel and you must therefore be comfortable with driving for work purposes and able to travel freely within the hours of the role. Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required
You will work collaboratively with the service users, their family, carers, and friends. The job will be carried out in partnership with the community mental health team and other professionals involved in the care of the service user.
The post holder will work predominantly with the duty team carrying out urgent assessments independently or jointly with the team CPNs, OTs and psychologists. There will be occasions of joint work with Adult Social Care and the Primary Care Teams.
