JOB DESCRIPTION

The Lead Developer at Contáctica is a strategic and hands-on technology leader responsible for designing, developing, and delivering robust, secure, and scalable digital solutions. This role demands deep technical expertise, proven experience in infrastructure and web development, and strong leadership capabilities to drive both the team and the technology forward.
We’re looking for someone with 8+ years of experience in full-stack development and infrastructure, including at least 5 years leading technical teams or complex projects. You’ll be responsible for building custom tools integrated with third-party services (APIs, CRMs, marketing platforms), while championing best practices and promoting innovation.
You will collaborate closely with analytics, media, and commercial teams to translate business needs into high-impact technology solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in web development and infrastructure.
• 5+ years of experience in leading technical teams or managing complex development projects.
• Proficiency in:
• HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript (Node.js, Next.js, Astro.js)
• WordPress (theme/plugin development, optimization)
• MySQL databases
• Git (version control and collaborative workflows)
• Deployment on VPS, serverless environments, and cloud (Azure)
• Server administration: Apache and Nginx
• Experience in API integrations and automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n).
• Familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud (desired).
• Understanding of DevOps practices: CI/CD, monitoring, automation (desired).
• Knowledge of OWASP security principles and vulnerability scanning tools.

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.
• Supervise and technically support the development team, fostering best practices in coding, architecture, and collaboration.
• Translate business and client requirements into technical solutions aligned with strategic goals.
• Coordinate deployment of applications and services in production environments (VPS, Azure, serverless), ensuring stability and performance.
• Manage complex integrations with APIs and external platforms (e.g., Salesforce, automation tools).
• Design and develop proprietary tools integrated with third-party services, building reusable solutions.
• Administer critical technology infrastructure: servers, DNS, Apache/Nginx, and cloud services.
• Apply OWASP principles and vulnerability analysis tools to ensure secure development practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (analytics, media, design, commercial) to deliver results-driven, integrated solutions.
• Promote documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Act as a mentor and technical leader, nurturing talent and driving growth across the team.
• Contribute to the technological vision and offer strategic input for digital product development.
