Under the direction of the Public Health Supervision, the immunization Nurse functions within a team of Public Health Practitioners focused on disease prevention through immunizations across the region. These services may be provided in public health centers or public facilities such as malls and schools. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Level C Certificate (CPR) Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies Basic - Critical thinking skills Basic - Computer skills Intermediate - Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice Knowledge and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Knowledge of medical and surgical supplies Uses independent judgment based on Public Health principles.
