To adhere to the standards of conduct, performance and ethics and the dietitians standards of proficiency of the Health Professions Council and to provide leadership to staff to do the same. To be aware of your level of responsibility and accountability within the wider Nutrition and Dietetic service, and designated Commissioning areas, being guided by policies, procedures and the support of peers, and to ensure your team do the same. To be responsible for maintaining and demonstrating own competence to practice through participation in appraisal process and CPD within the framework of the professional portfolio. To work with the Head of Birmingham Community Nutrition in taking responsibility for the strategic development and promotion of the ONS Prescribing Project (ONSP) and Pan-Birmingham Nutrition Formulary across Birmingham, and the West Midlands Region, taking into account national guidelines and the needs of the diverse local population.
