CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• All role holders must have completed their Specialist training and have a CCT/CCST, with clinical experience working with Forensic patients.
• MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
• Registration to practice with the GMC.
• Specialisation accreditation in Adult/General or Forensic Psychiatry.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead an MDT.
• A strong desire to help others and be involved in the development of a world-class psychiatric hospital.
• Maintaining section 12(2) and approved clinician status.
  All candidates will be subject to DBS checks and must be authorised to practice in the UK.

We are currently assisting one of the most highly regarded, specialist providers of mental health services, in the recruitment of a Substantive Consultant Psychiatrist. The role holder will work full time in a Secure hospital for Adults (Males and Females) with Medium and Low Secure units. The hospital has been designed to world class standards and has a manageable workload of patients, who are split across 3 secure wards, each of which are overseen by a Consultant and Associate Specialist Doctor.
As well as working with an established MDT the role holder will have an input in shaping the staffing and care pathways provided. You will have the opportunity to pursue myriad CPD opportunities, with the employer being known for offering unrivalled assistance in accessing development opportunities.
