SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Cook supports the food services team. The cook assists in food preparation and planning, food service, and resident engagement to provide a meaningful experience to residents and Employee Care Partners.

EDUCATION

· Grade 12 Diploma or recognized equivalent is required.

• Formal Food Service Training Required (Red Seal from an approved Food Service School)

EXPERIENCE

• Experience leading others in a food service environment is required
• Experience in the Food Service Industry as a Sous Chef
• Experience training others is desired
• Experience with Food Safety Practices and Safe Work Practices and Procedures

• Oral / Written Communication – must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English.

Working Conditions:
