AREA STORE MANAGER

As an Area Manager at Greens Retail, you will be ultimately responsible for the overall management and running of a part of the retail estate. This currently entails 12 operating convenience stores within Aberdeenshire and Dundee. Although we will be very quickly increasing to more sites broadly within the same geographic areas. We’re looking for exceptional individuals that don’t shy away from a challenge and will constantly go above and beyond to deliver the best convenience store chain in the country.
This position is field-based and you will be required to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks in order to allow you to meet KPIs and objectives. Predominantly you will spend most of your time in stores although there will also be a requirement to spend time in our Head Office in Kirkcaldy, Fife when necessary.
You will be required to provide a high level of support for all of the stores in your area, ensuring that company policy and procedures are followed and adhered to, as well as providing a source of guidance and knowledge in the numerous areas that are managed within the convenience sector. Most significantly, you will be responsible for driving team morale, innovation and creativity within stores.

Some specific ongoing responsibilities will include:

• Lead and develop a strong management team (and in turn store teams) - all aimed at providing a great customer experience
• Create an exceptional working environment
• Ensure Business KPIs are being met
• Liaise with store managers to create strong links with the local community and host local events
• Ensure efficient day to day operation of stores with a focus on stores consistently delivering the highest store standards
• Colleague recruitment, mentoring, training and identifying progression opportunities
• Ensure a clean, swift and efficient operation - complying with health & safety as well as other processes and procedures

The Area Manager will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week across 5 days inclusive of evenings and weekends depending on the needs of the business. We operate a flexi-working approach and hence, can be flexible with working times and hours providing objectives are being met.
