DESIGNATION : Social Worker/Case Worker
QUALIFICATIONS
Possess Degree in Social Work or Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institutio
The Social Worker is responsible in conducting risk assessment, safety planning and developing intervention work with families and children to enhance a safe and nurturing environment for children, who have experienced abuse and neglect. The social worker provide case management, to support the preservation of the children within their community through increasing the safety of the children at home, reducing the danger factors, and the likelihood of future harm through the enhancement of families’ own strengths and provision of social interventions such as teaching of parenting skills, counselling, psycho-education and behavioural modification.
Social worker is expected to work with professionals and stakeholders to advocate families to obtain needed resources. The focus is on building a formal and informal safety network that could ensure safety and protection for the children and family.
