Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with mental health challenges, chalenging behaviours and learning disabilities? Do you have at least 1 year of UK experience in a care or support role and have a full UK driving licence? If so, we would love to hear from you!
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our Nottingham based supported living team. This role involves providing person-centred care and support to a specific individual whose needs are ,
A diagnosis of a mild- moderate Learning disability and physical health diagnoses of cerebral palsy, epilepsy (well managed), diabetes and oedemas in legs and feet. Client uses an electric wheelchair. Client requires full personal care.
Client also requires support with meals - basic support microwave meals, bought salad and breakfast cereal and monitoring when he eats due to risk of choking, support with medication and accessing the community. Suitable candidate will need to have a very good command of English to enable good communication with client.
