ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a growing custom machining job shop that is seeking a CNC Technical Project Lead who can take full ownership of projects from RFQ through to delivery. You’ll be the technical point person—working directly with customers, collaborating with the production team, and ensuring every project is quoted and executed with accuracy according to the blueprints.
Bring your extensive machining expertise into a role where it drives every project’s success. This is a hands-on project management position—not a handoff role. You’ll use your technical knowledge to quote jobs accurately, source materials, predict machining hours, and work with the shop floor to guide projects from quote to final delivery.

• Lead the quoting process for custom machining projects, from blueprint to final price.
• Accurately estimate machining hours, raw materials, tooling, and processes.
• Source raw materials and coordinate special processes (heat treating, coatings, etc.).
• Collaborate directly with customers—clarifying requirements, offering solutions, and maintaining communication throughout the project.
• Work closely with programmers and production teams to ensure jobs run smoothly on the floor.
• Manage the project from RFQ through delivery with full accountability.
• Identify opportunities to improve quoting accuracy and streamline processes.
