Company Description Supervise our friendly and fast-paced Sample Management Team as a Sample Management Co-ordinator for Animal & Human Drug Testing where your leadership, attention to detail and teamwork will help power scientific discovery and protect the integrity of global sport and health. As part of our Sports & Specialised Analytical Services (SSAS) division, you’ll be joining an internationally recognised laboratory at the forefront of anti-doping and banned substance testing. Our work spans animal sports medication, human drug testing and dietary supplement certification. Job Description Provide leadership of Sample Management activities in the Animal and Human drug testing area, proactively manage the development of that area. Awareness of resource requirements on a day-to-day basis and communicate recommendations to the Management Team with the appropriate degree of urgency. Make a positive contribution to cost management through project and resource planning. Provide information and support as required for internal/external audits, to include responding to audit findings. Rational decision making on all department matters. Act in compliance with the Fordham site Health & Safety Policy. Line management and training of other members of the department. Maintain and review documented SOP’s. Maintain direct and regular customer contact and, where possible, respond to customer queries with minimal input from line manager/the Management Team. Ensuring work is carried out to the appropriate regulatory standards, e.g. ISO 17025 Proactively seek to improve service delivery and customer relationships. Qualifications Prior experience in a laboratory sample management facility is desirable but not essential. Educated to GCSE level; acquiring 5 GCSE's graded 9-6 Effective time management; ensuring objectives and tasks are completed on time and to an acceptable standard Good communicator, able to convey written and spoken information accurately and concisely Team worker, able to work flexibly and with initiative to bring forward ideas.
