We deliver end-to-end service solutions to our valued partners across the project lifecycle, from project management through to maintenance, shutdowns and operations.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Human Resources Manager - WA/NT to lead the people function across Western Australia and the Northern Territory. This is the senior HR leadership role for the region, responsible for partnering with operational and executive leaders to develop and implement people strategies that support organisational growth, workforce capability, employee engagement, and business performance.

The role requires a proactive and influential HR professional capable of balancing strategic workforce planning with operational HR excellence in a dynamic project-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of the HR strategy across the WA/NT region, ensuring alignment with broader organisational objectives
  • Act as the primary HR advisor to regional operational leaders and senior management teams
  • Provide leadership and oversight across all employee relations, industrial relations, workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development activities
  • Partner with business leaders to drive workforce capability, succession planning, leadership development, and talent retention initiatives
  • Lead complex employee and industrial relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, disputes, and performance management cases
  • Provide expert advice on employment legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements, and organisational policies
  • Drive employee engagement, culture, diversity, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives across the region
  • Analyse workforce trends, people metrics, and organisational data to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support organisational change, business transformation, mobilisation, and growth initiatives across the region
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR programs, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with recruitment, payroll, learning and development, and operational teams to deliver consistent and effective people outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation, company policies, and governance requirements
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, influencing decisions that support positive business outcomes

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Significant experience in a Human Resources Manager, Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Human Resources Lead, or similar senior HR leadership role
  • Demonstrated success leading HR functions within complex, multi-site, project-based, or geographically dispersed organisations
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements, industrial relations frameworks, modern awards, and enterprise agreements
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and executives to deliver strategic people initiatives and business outcomes
  • Extensive experience managing complex employee relations and industrial relations matters

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Employment Relations, Psychology, Law, or a related discipline
  • Experience supporting operations within the resources, construction, engineering, maintenance, infrastructure, or industrial services sectors
  • Experience leading HR functions across multiple states or regions
