Reporting to the General Manager, Community Services, the Senior Manager, Facilities Division: manages and empowers direct reports by providing mentoring, support and assistance in resolving operational problems, staffing issues; responds to public, government and community organization inquiries; establishes facility and equipment life cycle asset management; responds to CVRD facilities emergency situations; provides support to the CVRD’s emergency operation centre and emergency support services, when required; engages as an integral part of the departmental management team; oversees procurement/purchasing practices and, prepares, delivers and manages the operating and capital budgets for the division. Qualifications Our Ideal Candidate: Graduation from a recognized university or technical institute with a degree in public facilities management or administration, project management, civil engineering, or a related discipline. Recognized accreditation in asset management is an asset. Six (6) years of related experience in a local government facilities management environment. Experience with building construction, project management, asset management and the physical and operational aspects of public facilities. Experience in interacting with senior management, elected officials, consultants and union leaders.
