This role will respond to calls of distress in the community individuals that my be suffering from a mental health or substance use. She/he provides guidance and supervision to staff Clinicians. She/he assists the Clinical Management Team with program administration including ensuring contractual compliance and meeting program metrics.   SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS   The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. It is not necessarily descriptive of any one position in the class. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.   * Respond to community response calls as directed by dispatcher and or director/supervisor. Calls in nature will have an inherent high risk associated with them as individuals may be suffering from mental health or substance use. * Works with Clinicians to conduct and provide leadership during group activities, and team meetings. * Supervise staff; Provide guidance and assistance with the development and maintenance of progress notes. * Supervises staff and workloads as assigned * Train new staff on process and documentation for services received and outcomes measures in the Clinical Support Services department. * Completes center data for medical records, data systems, and contractual and departmental requirements. * Ensure center staffing level meets program demand. * Collect demographic data, conducts pre-screening and assesses potential eligibility for CRT, DSS or other community-based resources. * Provide information and referral services and documents outcomes resulting from such referrals. * Represent CRT at community meetings and outreach events. * Assign new customers to available case managers and clinicians. * Conduct service coordination with other organizations and resources. * Develop comprehensive assessments, (intakes), for customers eligible for services * Attends staff meetings and assists with supervision and crisis or intervention when needed. * Coordinates and facilitates weekly supervisory team meetings. * Work with Clinical Management team to ensure financial stability of the program. * Perform all essential functions of Clinician II; including but not limited to: * Provides crisis intervention services in response to emotional and/or physical distress. * Ensures adherence to infection control practices. * Collects urine specimens for drug screening. * Provides counseling services to mentally ill, alcohol dependent and/or homeless AIDS/HIV positive customers.     * Assesses customers in order to formulate treatment needs. * Orients new patients to treatment program(s). * Participates in treatment planning and individual and/or group counseling. * Makes referrals to outside programs for medical and/or psychological intervention. * Attend all trainings as applicable to your credentials. * Participation in planning and implementing a minimum of one monthly group activity for program participants, including but limited to: life skills, education, empowerment/support recovery groups, recreational activities and/or field trips.   ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS   * Perform other duties as assigned.     MINIMUM OUALIFACTIONS AND EXPERIENCE   Education: Master's Degree, required   Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years related clinical experience with homelessness, mental health or substance use and with Supervisory experience required.   Active Certification in good Standing: Must be a CT Licensed Clinician (LCSW, LMSW, LADC, LPC, LPCA, LMFT).   Demonstrate skills: Must be computer literate. Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with other service providers. Must be available to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and other shifts as assigned. Ability to communicate effectively, compile written reports and maintain/review case files. Ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds required. Ability to communicate effectively.
