This role involves managing takeoffs, tendering, subcontractor engagement, and RFIs while ensuring accurate, competitive, and compliant proposals. Working closely with leadership and project teams, you will identify cost savings, mitigate risks, and prepare projects for successful delivery from day one. This is a full-time remote position, with flexibility to support operations based in Inner Sydney – Parramatta. Key Responsibilities: Estimating & Takeoffs Complete full estimates, takeoffs, and cost centre packs with BOQs. Scope and price all plant hire requirements and specified PCs. Prepare variation contingencies, exclusions, and clarifications. Generate quote revisions and ensure accuracy before Director review. Tendering & Contractor Management Source, quote, and negotiate with subcontractors and base build contractors. Ensure at least two quotes per trade where SORs are unavailable. Collate subcontractor RFIs, ensuring full scope coverage. Manage contractor list board, including new approvals, insurance documentation, and existing relationships. Oversee subcontractor award process with the Contract Administration team to ensure fair, accurate awards. Preconstruction & Coordination Complete RFIs, collate responses, and support trades in quoting. Manage BOQs, markups, and distribution to subcontractors. Input all data into Buildxact and Monday.com for tracking and reporting. Prepare internal savings documents and value engineering opportunities. Identify long-lead items and initiate early procurement. Oversee CDC/DA management, preconstruction consultants, and safety inductions. Collaboration & Handover Present estimates to the Sales team and support deal closure with educational pieces. Provide comprehensive handovers to Contract Administrators post-award. Work with Sales and the Director on tender strategy, ensuring competitive and accurate submissions. Support design & construct projects (D&C – Cat 1 + Engineer Precon). Format and present professional tender documents for client submission. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Estimator or Preconstruction Manager within construction or fitout. Strong knowledge of BOQs, RFIs, and end-to-end tendering processes. Proficiency in estimating and project management software (e.g., Buildxact, Monday.com). Excellent subcontractor and supplier relationship management skills. High attention to detail with the ability to balance speed, accuracy, and commercial acumen.
