This includes managing critical systems such as electricity, compressed air, water, steam, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning). The role involves ensuring the reliability of utility services and general facilities in support of production processes and handling associated maintenance activities. Additionally, the engineer will improve utility efficiency, manage external contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all utility systems, including electrical, compressed air, water, steam, and HVAC systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and without any interruptions Monitor utility consumption, identify energy-saving opportunities, and manage utility budgets to reduce costs while maintaining optimal performance of facilities Lead troubleshooting and resolution of utility issues and general facility maintenance items. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Provide technical information regarding production or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations that affect long-term planning Select and coordinate with external contractors and vendors for utility-related services; including maintenance, repairs and system upgrades Negotiate contracts and manage service agreements Ensure minimal production interruptions by ensuring safe and timely resolution to planned and unplanned outages Maintain accurate records of utility systems' performances, maintenance schedules, work orders and compliance documentations Regularly report on utility performance to senior management Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment Perform other duties as assigned Salary: 95K – 119K/ yr.
