JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting and dynamic role in DSIT’s AI Opportunities Directorate, helping to drive the implementation of the AI Opportunities Action Plan. The AI assurance team supports the safe and responsible development and deployment of AI, creating industry confidence in AI systems and stimulating its adoption across the economy. We are looking for a Grade 7 AI assurance lead with significant relevant experience to support the delivery of our programme of work, as well as collaborating closely with leads on private sector AI adoption and skills to develop a comprehensive strategy for AI adoption across the UK economy.

• Turkish nationals, and certain family members of Turkish nationals, who have accrued the right to work in the Civil Service

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading our work on AI assurance - designing and delivering high impact interventions, ensuring they are delivered on time and to a high standard, and supporting the Head of AI adoption, governance and skills to shape the overall vision and strategy for stimulating the growth of the UK’s AI assurance ecosystem.
Shaping the overall approach to AI adoption in the UK - collaborating closely with leads on private sector AI adoption, skills and talent to develop a comprehensive strategy for AI adoption across the UK economy.
Engaging with partners - forming close working relationships with our delivery partners and fostering valuable connections with industry, regulators, government, academia and civil society.
Capturing insights - capable of analysing highly complex issues to reach clear and balanced conclusions, and considering how findings from our work can be applied by other policy owners within DSIT and across Whitehall.
Championing the team’s work - communicating the findings of our work to a wider audience, in particular industry.
