POST SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to occupational therapy teaching, research and administrative activities in the Discipline of Occupational Therapy, School of Medicine. The successful applicant will have an established reputation in teaching and research in the field of mental health occupational therapy and will be expected to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in this field and in occupational therapy in areas including curricular teaching, supervision and mentoring and research.
The successful candidate will join an established staff of 12 (nine academic staff, two practice education staff and an executive officer). The Discipline of Occupational Therapy in Trinity College has the longest running undergraduate occupational therapy programme in the Republic of Ireland. The four-year undergraduate occupational therapy programme is accredited by AOTI (Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland) on behalf of the WFOT (World Federation of Occupational Therapists) and is also accredited for state registration by CORU. The Discipline has a well-established track record in postgraduate education graduating students at taught masters, research masters, and PhD level. Academic staff are required to engage in teaching, research, and administrative duties. Teaching (including research supervision) and administrative duties will relate primarily to both undergraduate and postgraduate students within the Discipline. The Discipline of Occupational Therapy requires a candidate to support and lead cutting edge research and to contribute to the postgraduate activity and the research profile of the Discipline.

Post status: 5-Year Fixed-Term Contract - Tenure Track
