Clatsop County occupies the northwest corner of Oregon bounded to the north by the Columbia River and to the west by the Pacific Ocean. Named for the Clatsop Indians, Clatsop County is rich in history, scenery and opportunity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires high school diploma or GED, AND
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a professional environment performing similar duties, OR
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of Oregon property tax laws, ORS, OAR, and Clatsop County ordinances relating to short term rentals and transient lodging taxes.
• Previous experience in a property tax or assessor or treasury office in the State of Oregon.
• Equivalent of a four-year degree in accounting.
• Knowledge of tax or accounting software programs.
• Intermediate experience with Excel, Word, and computerized database applications.
