QUALIFICATIONS:

Bittium is seeking a highly experienced technology leader who possesses both deep technical understanding and strategic vision, combined with a customer-driven mindset. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in embedded and edge AI, demonstrating the ability to run machine learning technologies on embedded hardware. Solid experience in international industrial environments is essential. Exceptional communication skills are required, as the role involves engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and establishing trust through technical credibility. You must be able to think strategically and drive technology development that is closely aligned with business objectives. Experience in building and leading high-performing technical teams is considered an advantage.
Fluency in both spoken and written Finnish and English is required for this position, and proficiency in Swedish or German will be seen as a plus.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Due to the nature of Bittium’s business and our customers’ expectations, you must be a Finnish citizen and able to pass security clearance conducted by the Finnish Security Intelligence Service (SUPO) and the Finnish Defence Forces.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this key role, you will be responsible for leading and growing Bittium’s embedded and edge AI capabilities and you will be the driving force behind our embedded AI value proposition. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will help shape the direction of Bittium’s AI development and align it with customer needs and business goals. Your workplace can be located in Oulu, Tampere, or Espoo.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Leading and developing Bittium’s embedded and edge AI team and driving the evolution of AI expertise across the company.
• Defining and refining Bittium’s embedded AI value proposition in collaboration with business leaders.
• Acting as a key technical and strategic partner in customer projects, translating complex challenges into real-world AI solutions.
• Supporting business growth by identifying new opportunities and contributing to the development of new service offerings.
• Working in close collaboration with Bittium’s sales, product development, and technical teams to ensure alignment between customer needs and technical capabilities.
• Building strong relationships with external partners and staying ahead of trends in embedded AI and machine learning.
• Providing direct technical contributions in customer projects across industries such as logistics, telecommunications, construction and defense.
