For Lummus Technology in Brno/Czech Republic we are looking for a Senior Principal Piping Designer (m/f/d) to join our Mechanical Engineering team at the earliest date possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment layout and pipe routing of road freight modules.
• Equipment modeling of Vessels (generic shapes using parameterized shapes in software)
• Import special shape reactors from Mechanical Engineering Department (STEP)
• Import vendor provided 3D models of valves, pumps, etc.
• Model pipe supports and hangers
• Generate piping isometric drawings
• Interfaces with Project Manager / Project Engineer
• Interfaces with Sr. Principal Piping Engineer (Houston) as needed
• Interfaces with Process Engineering function (Houston/Gurgaon)

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in experience, Secondary Technical Education (SPŠ) or Higher Technical Education (VOŠ) in engineering technology, CAD training in AutoCAD, Plant 3D or applicable software.
• 15-20 years of piping design experience
• Experienced enough to be able to position equipment suitable for access and maintenance activities
• Generate piping isometric drawings
• AutoCAD Plant3D experience a plus; alternative may be Smart Plant 3
• “Eye” for the preliminary, conceptual steel framing shape to provide support of the skid/module
• Experienced enough to be able to position equipment suitable for access and maintenance activities
• Understanding of the software specific administrative functions of setting up project database
• Administrative reporting to Director of Mechanical Engineering (Houston)
